Ephesians 5:1-2 (NIV)
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Ephesians 5:10-14 (NIV)
...and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:
"Wake up, O sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you."

If you've ever observed the nature of a child you'll have noticed that children have a tendency to imitate those whom they love and look up to even to the point of literally putting themselves in that person's very shoes.

I have to admit, God's shoes are some pretty enormous shoes to fill... but it's not our works that God weighs but rather that meek and willing spirit that is precious in His sight.

So we should try to walk as Jesus did... keeping ourselves from the evil things of this world and persistently doing good so that those who are yet in darkness would see the things they do are wrong. We lead as Jesus did, by example. Do as I say not as I do just won't cut it.

So whose shoes are you trying to fill?

Let us try to be like God! Ask yourself today: What would Jesus do?

God Bless!
